Oak Cabinetry & AV Suite
This commission called for a fitted bookshelf, AV unit, and cabinetry system - designed not just to fill a wall, but to belong in the room as though it had always been there. The homeowner's brief was clear: it had to sit seamlessly alongside the house's existing period joinery.
Working in solid European Oak, we studied the profiles, proportions, and detailing of the original joinery throughout the home, then designed each element to complement rather than copy. The panelled doors carry a decorative gothic-arch motif that echoes the building's character, while the integrated window seat creates a quiet reading space flooded with natural light.
Behind the panels, a fully concealed AV system keeps the technology invisible, with cable routing and ventilation carefully considered from the outset. It's the kind of detail you don't notice - and that's exactly the point.
