Church Doors
These entrance doors were commissioned for a Bristol church - a threshold between the everyday and the sacred. The brief was to create something that honoured the building's spiritual purpose whilst standing up to decades of use and the British climate.
We chose Accoya timber for its exceptional dimensional stability and natural resistance to moisture and decay - a material that will endure without the need for constant maintenance. Each door features inset blue stained glass crosses, casting coloured light into the vestibule as the sun moves through the day.
Working on ecclesiastical projects carries a particular responsibility. These doors are part of a community's history now. We approached every joint, every profile, and every glass fitting with the care that responsibility demands.
